ScootaTrailer is based out of Lexington, North Carolina, and comes from humble roots as a family-owned and operated trailer hitch business. Owner Greg Tesh invented the ScootaTrailer to meet the demands of customers with small and midsized automobiles who needed to haul scooters and wheelchairs, but whose cars didn't have the right hitch for a standard vehicle lift. They began production of the ScootaTrailer in 2004 after several design revisions, and seek to reach as many customers as possible to facilitate the transport of mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs.
